I purchased the product a couple weeks ago. Everything appears to be in line but he doesn’t tell you in his videos and sales copy that the ad costs are somewhat high.

The program is also designed to piece-meal you over the 7 week course. You only get about 1 hour of instructions per week until the next module opens up in the next week. It doesn’t allow you to go at your own pace.

I’m reserving my final comments until I’ve had a chance to tweak my ads and throw some more money at the cost-per-click ads.

I’ll follow up with an update once I’ve made some progress and can determine my cost-per-customer and compare that to my ad costs to figure out the ROI .

    Hello,

I also bought this product and gave it plenty of time to prove itself. My results were TOTALLY different than yours. I have received a lot of impressions & clicks, but have not recorded ANY sales! I have tested it on 3 different products, receiving more than 1000 clicks, but not one measly sale.

I agree with Ben about the 7 week course, and not being able to progress at our own pace. The sales letter didn’t say that.

Personally, I don’t see this as being anything to brag about…in fact I feel like an idiot for ‘investing’ in it in the first place.

    Sorry, but that’s my opinion!

      Hi,

I just bought the product and I fully agree that the program is designed to piece-meal you over the 7 week course. This is something negative for someone who decide to move fast. And is not stated at the promotion letter as I see. This is probably a trick for passing you through the second month subscription fees in order to get extra info.
I also agree that there is a minimum fundings of $50 for the admob site to start running your ads. I have not been through that yet because the information I have acquired from the product are so lite so far.

Can someone provide some info of what is the normal cost of running an admob and when you are earning money from it?

      Regards
      Tasos

I am now on module 3. The info is interesting. I sent my ad out thru admob after funding it with the bare min of $50.00 bucks..I set my bid rate at the min which was .04 cents..It started sending immediately. I had a short simple add for a clickbank product. I know that with a low bid rate I was gonna be behind others that where paying a much higher rate..That didn’t bother me, oh! and per instructions I marketed to only Iphone users. Well that was Sunday. Its now Weds. and the ad is still running..It has sent maybe to 100,000 users..My click thru rate sucks..I think I’m getting maybe a .30% click thru rate over all which equates out to about 300 sets of eye balls on my product..WITH NO SALES!..I’m not blaming the system, just my ad really sucks or that the market is so big that its not really really good targeted traffic like you would get from a search engine where if someone types “How to buy widgets?” you know you are gonna get someone to your site who really wants to by..The only way I can see this really working is you have to saturate the whole market in hopes that they want what you have to offer, and of course using an Iphone.

I have found that Mack Michaels, while his coaching course provides excellent information, is prone to making outrageous claims of potential income. If he actually made $328,000 in NET income in one month from using the Cell Phone Cash system, I’d sure like to see proof of that. I also believe that the reason he extends the course over 7 weeks is that by the time you figure out that it doesn’t work as advertised, the Clickbank refund period will have expired.

Sorry to see people falling for this, there is absolutely no proof that this works. It claims you will learn how to make a full-time income in your first 2 weeks, you have a 60 day money back guarantee, that’s 8 weeks, if you are not making some serious money by the time you’ve viewed the 7th module then ask for a refund.

It´s kind of funny, when in the sales page Mack is stating that the “old internet techniques” don´t work anymore, and once you´ve signed up, he wants you to become a member of Maverick Money Makers, which is… all about OLD school! Makes me laugh.
One of the favourite things Mack likes to do, is to use his calculator, to proove how to make incredible amounts of money, using his programs. Well, let me take out my calculator, to check how successful all of his students are: he brags about his 12.000 students making over 2 million$ the last 12 months. He doesn´t say if this is turnover or profit. Let´s give him the benefit of the doubt, and say it was all profit. The calculator says: an astonishing $ 167 per person, which is almost $ 14 per month ! Wow…
But we all know, that most people don´t get active, so if only 10% of his students applied his methods, they made in average a wopping $ 140 per month. Wow again.
I guess, most of them are ready to retire and live the good life…

Coos, I never thought of it that way, but you bring up an excellent excellent point..

Time and time again. “All” you have to do is come up with a credible system to punt to hungry desperate people. It doesn’t have to work it just has to give the impression it works. Show people a big account with a network and bingo you have a winner.
Gather a growing list and show them some more. Get your guru buddies to join in and the sky’s the limit.
Again, if you were earning this money why oh why would you give pepole the method for a few bucks a month.
Why? because that is where they make their money.

I bought the membership a couple weeks ago, and I’m finding it really good. People just need to relax, and work at understanding stuff, then test and experiment and put the knowledge into action. I set up an ad during my first day of watching the videos… picked a random “lose weight” clickbank product… let it rip. It took about an hour. (I’m not a newbie). First, let me admit I didn’t get any sales. The product I chose to promote had a nice website – but it was a nightmare for cellphone use – 6 pages of testimonials, plus credit card payment, lots of graphics, etc. I didn’t check this out first, which was pretty dumb of me… I just wanted to quickly prove the concept to myself.

What I learned was amazing! My little text ad got 500,000 impressions in a couple of hours, and 1500 clicks! Holy Crap! The cost was super low…3 cents for iPhones and 1 cent for other phones. I’ve never seen traffic flood like that. I paused the ad after I learned my chosen product’s sales page wasn’t converting. Total cost: $14.37 or something like that. Why did one of the guys above blow $500??? Totally unncessary!

So, obviously, I need to find a better product to promote… one that has a page “optimized” for cell phone conversion, but I proved that I could get huge traffic very quickly for next to no money. Google Adwords would have costs 10 – 100 times more.

Conclusion: the course is awesome so far. $25/mo. for this knowledge is nothing. I spend that taking my family to McDonald’s… and get nothing out of that! Not even nutrition. ;-)

14.00 for 1500 clicks lets do the math.03 = 45.00 .01 =15.00 next time you should do the math before posting your BS comments

Read more carefully before trying to correct people… James clearly states “3 cents for iPhones and 1 cent for other phones” He also says: “Total cost: $14.37 or something like that” – which implies that he’s only giving an estimate and may not be remembering the exact figure. This is further confirmed by the fact that 14.37 / 1500 comes out to LESS than .01 cent each. Conclusion would be that not only is his figure probably a few cents off, but his ad could not have been sent to any iPhones, or the average cost would have been HIGHER than one cent. It’s only math, but yes we need to know math if we want to know whether we’re making money or not!

OK, thanks for the reviews above – both the vitriolic ones, and the not-so-sure ones. I watched all the videos on the sales page and still couldnt answer the fundamental Socratic philosophical question… “WHAT IS IT?”

WHAT THE HELL DOES HE MEAN BY “CELL PHONES”?———WHAT IS THE ACTUAL ACTIVITY SOMEONE DOES AFTER THEY LEARN CELL PHONE CASH???—WHAT WILL THEY BE SELLING?—WILL I BE SELLING CELL PHONES? CELL PHONE APPS? BLAST TEXTING PEOPLES CELL PHONES TO BUY SOME OTHER PRODUCT???

For those of you who have actual gone through the program (with good results or bad), please tell me what it actually is….im still very much so in the dark.

I’m on week 1 at the moment. I haven’t placed an ad with Admob yet as I don’t possess a credit card so I’m waiting for one to come through the post

What this ‘system’ appears to be is an alternative to desktop based Search Engine PPC .

You create an ad in 35 characters and you can send those clicks directly to an affiliate website through your hoplink.

The basic tuition (i.e. week 1) revolves around one mobile ad provider (admob.com) and one network (iPhone users) as these are allegedly the easiest to start with.

The affiliate program suggested is Clickbank but you could use anything, your own website, CJ, paydotcom, CPA offers etc.

The trick appears to be twofold
      1) ‘knowing your customers’. What are iPhone users using their phones for? If you can crack that nut then you can supply the info that they may want.
      2) ‘headlines’. If you can create a helluva ad in 35 characters (think Twitter with anorexia) then you’ll get the clicks.

Upside: The possible ‘lure’ of a big payout. Massive possible market.
      Downsides
      1) $50 is the starting fund for admob ads but you have a minimum of 0.03 cents per click
      2) The lower the bid price you pay the less phones you hit within the network
      3) The learning curve. Sticking at 1 module per week is just shameless; he really should open it up.
      4) Lack of a forum or community’ Would be nice but it could just fill up with complaints.
      5) He keeps on saying ‘looking over our shoulder as we go click by click’. Damn he’s got big shoulders or he’s got a small video camera cos I found his ‘training’ very difficult to follow.
      6) Preview. If he’s not going to open up week 2 module before you get there then at least tell us what we are likely to get just to whet our appetite dammit!
      7) Training: It’s terrible, boring voice, no real ‘how to…’ shown, only links are to empty pages such as these:
http://google.com/insights/search/# ( this link was written as: Click Here to Analyze The Industry With Google Insights)

Is this a scam? Possibly, but at $24.97 a month it seems quite a cheap scam.

Remarkably he says in week 1 that the very site you are on is not marketable to iPhone users as it isn’t iPhone optimized..unbelieveable! Perhaps that should have warned me but I’m going to see what week 2 gives me in the way of training before asking for a refund.

I hope this explains what it is about

      Cheers

      Dom

I have seen all the modules and also become an affiliate for Maverick Coaching.
I have made no effort to promote Cell Phone Cash up to this point. Call me nutty, but I am one of those guys that will not sell you a dream and then deliver a nightmare. I decided that as interesting as the system was as the modules came trickling in, I would wait to promote the system until I had some hard personal data. So, here it is.
I have been running ads on admob for one week now. I have let some of my ads run and have paused the ones that did not seem to have many clicks. I choose ads that were very simple and the ones that were allegedly the quick cash cows. These ads were converted with a simple e-mail submission or even better a zip code submission. I have just finished pausing my last ad and these are my statistics to this point.
I have a total of 409,189 impressions. Those resulted in 1,677 clicks. My CTR was 0.41% at an average cost of .07 cents per click. Total cost $115.97.
Sticking to the plan completely, I choose ads that promised free samples, a dating site, and free $500 Home Depot and Lowe’s gift cards. Out of 1,677 clicks, exactly ONE person submitted and e-mail address. Thinking there had to be something out of whack I spent today communicating with ROI rocket support and discovered that all the tracking was functioning just fine.
This is my take on the whole thing. I believe that sometime in the near future people will begin to accept the idea being pitched on their iphones. This is evidenced by the fact that Apple has extended its in-app one touch purchase function to free apps this last week. As it was with the Internet in the beginning, people are naturally paranoid about new technology and their personal information. It will take time for them to accept the fact that they are no more at risk than they are when they order off of a website. However, I can’t even say that last statement is true. So, don’t give up but don’t jump in with both feet. I have a feeling that we are going to be seeing some advertising programs that are very mobile friendly coming along soon. Till then, get your feet wet and figure things out. Test different things and get a feeling for it. The principal is good and the potential traffic is there. People just have to catch up.

  18. Posted October 6, 2009 at 7:58 pm | Permalink

I agree with you James, I found cheap traffic with cell phone cash, maybe we have to be more creative

  19. Posted October 7, 2009 at 7:09 pm | Permalink

I took a look at this course as a way to expand my sales, to bring in visitors looking for a way to save money on their data cell phone plans. I agree with everything I have read here. You won’t save any money in the long run because of the enormous amounts of advertising you have to do to make one sale.
You may as well stick with PPC, or organic SEO if you have the time.

  20. Posted October 8, 2009 at 4:25 pm | Permalink

I am on week 3 of this course. So far I have lost $50! This scheme sucks!

    Read my full review here.
    http://www.ratracewinner.com/maverick-money-makers-cell-phone-cash-a-genuine-review/

I still think however that advertising on mobile phones is the future!! And I think I may have a way of really monetising this method.

I will be posting my results of my idea soon… Whether it works or fails!

  21. Posted October 10, 2009 at 7:36 pm | Permalink

Got the program as well. Spent $150 and so far made back $2.50. lol. The ironic thing is that he tells you on the first weeks training that make money products are the most profitable, then just recently he posted a statement on the site stating that we should avoid make money products because it doesn’t convert. wtf?

  22. Posted October 10, 2009 at 8:56 pm | Permalink

It does not work. Why? Because iphone browsers do not support cookies used by clickbank or maybe because you are promoting the worng stuff or maybe because people simply do not feel like pulling out a credit card when they browse your offer.

I am gona test the pay per action products like dating site and if i do not get sales – it is a scam then.

  23. Posted October 11, 2009 at 11:31 am | Permalink

Cell Phone Cash is nothing more than a learning tool. A student who attended school for 13+ years has a choice of applying what he/she learned or not. If that person doesn’t instantly get a job making $100,000 per year are they going to say that school was a scam or BS? OR are they going to work hard and try until they hit their goal.

I have learned new ideas from Cell Phone Cash that I otherwise wouldn’t have known. However I do not base my entire success of affiliate marketing on Cell Phone Cash. The concept of making money using cellular marketing is extraordinary and is not birthed by Cell Phone Cash. This was just Mack Michaels attempt at making the concept of mobile marketing available to affiliate marketers.

If you have failed at profiting from the cell phone industry, it is not due to Cell Phone Cash, it is due to the inevitable learning curve that we all must overcome when trying new things.

Mobile marketing is used by major businesses world wide and its use is growing every second. Do you really think they would market where there is no return? So whether you fail and blame it on cell phone cash or you keep with it and succeed, mobile marketing will be a multi-billion dollar industry.

Cell phone cash is one of many options offered to you as a student on potential student. It does require some effort on your part to make it work. For those of you who are members of the club, would have recieve e-mail from Mack saying that the best way to promote on cell phone is with the use of videos or audio. Those are the most effect means because the iphone does not not have to read anything just watch or listen. I am a member the club, which is the best I have seen on the internet. If you not using a video to promote your product please give it a try. I would also highly recommend you become a member of the club, to truly benefit from this program

I’ve read all the comments and only Ron hit the nail on the head. The demographic for iPhone, all cell phone users for that matter, is way too broad.

Four cents a click doesn’t sound a lot, but think of it this way, no matter what offer you’re pitching, just as many teenage girls are going to see your ad as are 30 year old guys. You’ll have a tough job finding an offer that appeals to both of those groups. Ringtones might work, but they do a lot better in Europe. Admob must be laughing all the way to the bank.

  28. Posted November 29, 2009 at 7:07 am | Permalink

This is a good offer where one can earn money. I saw some comments above that some of those that joined could not earn money. There is a 60 day Money Back Guarantee along with this offer. I hope you know about it. I recommend this Program.

I just recently bought Cell phone Cash. But i learned about admob a month ago. The content seems good so far. I don’t like that you have to wait for the the next module. I spent 50 dolars in an ad with admob i got 116,373 impressions and 1,000 clicks. No sales. 5 cents per click. Good traffic but not converting. A gain this was about a month ago.

The only thing i can say is i will try the video and audio tips he gives since i just heard about this. I’ll keep everyone posted and i hope this comment helps. I also agree with Mesa Ed. People have to catch up . I’m not new at marketing but i just came across his cell phone course and decided to try it. I was a maverick member before i even knew he had a cell phone cash course. I wasn’t going to add this but i found a good way yo get targeted traffic to my site and makes sales. If you want you can check it out. I really hope this helps because i have read all the comments here and i’m sure enlightened more on this cell phone cash subject. Any way i hope you guys find this as helpful as i’ve founds these comments. I’ll be back later to let you all know how i’m doing with this and other endeavors if appreciated. Good luck to everyone and God Bless.

Have you ever thought off this?

If I got an ad on my cell phone and i wanted to particitpate, I would just log on to my computer when I got home, thus no cookies or anything traccked resulting in ZERO commision sales for the person who ran the mobile add….easy

  31. Posted December 16, 2009 at 9:54 am | Permalink

Save your money. I too blew through quite a bit of money on admob. I followed the thing to a T.

I got my money back for the course itself. Lately I have been inundated with phone calls from telemarketers for this system, telling me that they can coach me to success.

I asked one of thes so called coaches if he was successful using the program and he said he had not tried it but would guarantee my success for more money.

    Whatever

I agree this Mack michaels character either got lucky on a campaign or knows that this system won’t work and is a hell of a marketer. He has no credibility in my eyes.

I am always concerned when I come across an offer for a product or service that tells me little or nothing about that product or service before I make a purchase.

I’m not one that thinks everything on the internet is a scam but there sure are a lot of marketers out there anxious to part folks like me from their cash.

I don’t know if Cell Phone Cash is a scam but after reading many of the comments on this site I went back and read the sales letter again and it certainly contains all the elements (hype) of a scam when one considers the claims of big money and ease of implementation.

I have decided to teach myself the fundamentals of Internet Marketing using free resources like free websites, ebooks, articles, webinars, forums, etc. until I make some money and can afford to hire an established and successful mentor that can help me reach my goal of earning a full time living online.

I simply refuse to spend my precious time and money on the next best system, product or service. I would much rather spend my money EARNING than LEARNING.

Don’t get me wrong I value education, but I believe I need a good mentor to help me translate learning into earning.

    Thanks for all the comments.

P.S. Let’s not be mean or rude to each other in our posts.

    Question?

Let’s say company A pays $9.00 per 1000 impressions. And Using admob, is costs $3.00 per 1000 impressions. Soooo, couldn’t you simply create a quick mobile site that renders a few ads and drive traffic to that site? Also, put a CPA offer etc.?

This would be a kind of “Admob Arbitrage”. Did I just coin that phrase? Don’t you dare steal it! :-)

There have to be some inefficiencies in these markets.

Maybe I’m totally wrong which I’m willing to admit as well.

Hmm, people here look pretty upset at the program. It looks a lot like a similar product named “cell phone treasure.” Maybe yall should check that one out?

I did checkout cell phone treasure. And to be honest i did it before i even knew that mack had Cell phone cash…

The thing is that im really overwhemeld on what i read on these comments. of macks cel phone cash program.. The only thing that i agree with in this whole room is that it totally sucks to wait a week until each module opens up one by one….. I know maybe its a good way to learn but i rather choose to learn at my own paste

But anyways About Cell Phone Treasure:::
I checked it out and all.. Seems preety cool. The difference with Cell Phone Treasure and Macks is that Cel Phone Treasure is a one time buy product… That means that they will give you all the tutorial videos and blueprints at once…

I dont owe Cell Phone Treasure But by the looks of it i Just might even buy it cuz im tired of waiting just so my second module opens up…
If im already unpatient with my first week, then damn i still got 6 more to go. I dont think i can handle this…

But dont get me wrong Macks Videos are awesome to learn… So far its good..
We just need to be patient so our customers can catch up.. And once they do All Of us here with the knowledge acquaried from these programs will be the first ones to to the pot of gold….
